Electric Bike Parts List & Replacement Guide
Use this electric bike parts list to identify common replacement components, understand what each part does, and check compatibility before ordering. E-bike parts are not always universal, so compare your bike model, voltage, connector, dimensions, and mounting position with the original component.

Electrical and control parts
- Controller: Regulates power between the battery, motor, display, throttle, and pedal-assist system. Match voltage, motor wattage, connector style, and wiring layout.
- Display: Shows speed, assist level, trip information, and system status. A display must use the correct communication protocol and connector.
- Throttle: Provides motor power from the handlebar. Check voltage compatibility, connector type, and whether you need a left- or right-side throttle.
- Pedal-assist sensor: Detects pedaling and activates motor assistance. Match the sensor style, magnet count, crank position, and cable connection.
- Charger: Match the battery's rated voltage, charging plug, polarity, and charge-current requirements exactly.
- Wiring harness and cables: Connect electrical components. Compare every plug, pin count, cable length, and male or female orientation.
Motor and drivetrain parts
- Hub or mid-drive motor: Match wheel size, voltage, wattage, dropout width, axle type, brake mounting, and connector.
- Crankset and chainring: Check crank length, chainring tooth count, bottom-bracket interface, and chainline.
- Chain: Choose a chain that matches the number of rear gears and drivetrain width.
- Freewheel or cassette: Match the gear count, tooth range, mounting system, and derailleur capacity.
- Derailleur and shifter: Match the number of speeds, cable-pull system, mounting style, and maximum sprocket size.
Brake parts
- Brake levers: Verify left or right orientation, hydraulic or mechanical operation, hose or cable connection, and motor cut-off wiring.
- Brake calipers: Match hydraulic or mechanical type, front or rear position, mounting standard, rotor size, and hose fitting.
- Brake pads: Pad shape must match the exact caliper model. Compare the old pad before ordering.
- Brake rotors: Check diameter, thickness, and six-bolt or center-lock mounting.
Wheels, tires, and inner tubes
- Tires: Read the size printed on the tire sidewall, such as 20x4.0 or 26x4.0. Match diameter, width, tread style, and rim compatibility.
- Inner tubes: Match the tire-size range, valve type, valve length, and valve angle. Browse fat bike tires and inner tubes.
- Rims and wheels: Check diameter, width, axle, spoke count, brake mounting, and motor compatibility.
- Fenders: Match wheel diameter, tire clearance, mounting points, and front or rear position.
Contact points and accessories
- Handlebar grips: Match handlebar diameter, grip length, and throttle-side length.
- Stem and handlebar: Check clamp diameter, steerer diameter, reach, rise, and mounting style.
- Saddle and seatpost: Match seatpost diameter, rail clamp, length, and load rating.
- Rack, bag, light, mirror, and lock: Confirm mounting dimensions, clearance, electrical voltage when applicable, and weight capacity.
How to confirm the correct replacement part
- Find the bike model and model year.
- Photograph the original part, label, connector, and mounting location.
- Record voltage, wattage, tire size, measurements, and left or right orientation.
- Compare connector shape and pin count; similar-looking plugs may use different wiring.
- Check the product description and images before ordering.
